would you like to be tolerated and know about it?
Doesn't being tolerated give you negative feelings?
You tolerate those people who bother you but you can't change them so you put up with them.
Yet, many in our society want us to practice tolerance?
Why?
Doesn't that mean accepting the status quo and not trying to change things for the better?
Tolerance as a virtue doesn't make much sense to me, does it to you?
Wouldn't you rather see things changed than accept what you don't agree with as it is?

I think people that insist you be tolerant the most are the ones that are the least willing to make any changes in themselves. It is easier for them to put the onus of change on you than it is to admit that they may not be as near perfection as they assume.
